This speech is Project 2 “Organize Your Speech” from Basic Communicator Manual. The objectives of this speech are:

• Select an appropriate outline which allows listeners to easily follow and understand your speech.
• Make your message clear, with supporting material directly contributing to that message.
• Use appropriate transitions when moving from one idea to another.
• Create a strong opening and conclusion.

The timing of the speech is 5-7 mins.

I didn’t really like about this speech. The conclusion was too abrupt, it did not end with a strong message. Furthermore, I was still kind of memorizing every word in the script. This was not a good way to present speech. The problem is that you would get stuck if you forgot certain lines or words. A better way is to know the flow of the speech, practice it once or twice, and said it like a conversational style without memorizing every word.
