This speech is Project 4 “How to Say It” from Basic Communicator Manual. The objectives of this speech are:
- Select a speech topic and determine its general and specific purposes.
- Organize the speech in a manner that best achieves those purposes.
- Ensure the begining, body and conclusion reinforce the purposes.
- Project sincerity and conviction and control any nervousness you may feel.
- Strive not to use notes.
The timing for the presentation is 5-7 mins.
I was quite satisfied with this speech, partly because I was a big fan of Steven Job, and partly this speech was based on my favorite book “iCon”. Probably there was one thing I got to be more cautious on this speech was that I should avoid religion in the speech, as pointed out by Shenton.
This speech was presented in the CCK TMC Chapter Meeting. The evaluator was Ng Kwee Choo.
