This speech is Project 10 “Inspire Your Audience” from Basic Communicator Manual. The objectives of this speech are:

• To inspire the audience by appealing to noble motives and challenging the audience to achieve a higher level of beliefs or achievement
• Appeal to the audience’s needs and emotions, using stories, anecdotes, and quotes to add drama
• Avoid using notes

The timing for the presentation is 8-10 mins.

This is my first inspiration speech. I have never given a speech to inspire people before. At first, the task looked daunting. But after the project, I was excited I finally did it and also completed my basic project manual.

This speech was presented at the Achiever Day. The evaluator was Stanley Chen.

“There was a time when people said that Choa Chu Kang Toastmasters Club wouldn’t make it, but we did!…

It was Sep 1995, a new Toastmasters Club was born. In the initial years, the Club experienced a gradual attrition of her charter members. The remaining members were stretched in terms of their abilities to field sufficient speakers and appt holders at each monthly meetings.  Many thought they wouldn’t make it. Nevertheless, they persevered and the rest, is history.
