This speech is Project 10 “Inspire Your Audience” from Basic Communicator Manual. The objectives of this speech are:

• To inspire the audience by appealing to noble motives and challenging the audience to achieve a higher level of beliefs or achievement
• Appeal to the audience’s needs and emotions, using stories, anecdotes, and quotes to add drama
• Avoid using notes

The timing for the presentation is 8-10 mins.

This is my first inspiration speech. I have never given a speech to inspire people before. At first, the task looked daunting. But after the project, I was excited I finally did it and also completed my basic project manual.

This speech was presented at the Achiever Day. The evaluator was Stanley Chen.

I look forward to kick start my advanced project.

作业（十）激励启发（八到十分钟）
这是我在女皇镇华语讲演会的最后一个作业。为了应付繁忙的工作和多花些时间在我两个孩子身上，我已决定暂停华语讲演会的活动。当天，我若有所失地完成作业，好象被瑞雄发现了（之前，我已告诉他了）。临走时，真的真的很不舍得那里的会友们，还有一切一切的回忆。朋友们，再见了。。。漫漫讲演路，聚散总有时，情义永难忘，他日当再续。。。

Project 10 “Inspire Your Audience” (8 to 10 mins) requires the speaker to:

- inspire the audience by appealing to noble motives and challenging the audience to achieve a higher level of beliefs or achievement.
- appeal to the audience’s needs and emotions, using stories, anecdotes, and quotes to add drama.
- avoid using notes.

“This is a real long speech and I had… oops, forgotten some parts of my script… but I managed to turn it to my advantage by poking fun at myself and making the audience laugh.” ~ 13 Apr 2006
